Ellisse is a floor lamp drawn as one tall, slender oval of brushed gold, with a glowing glass sphere suspended inside.
A continuous metal loop rises from a round marble base and arcs closed at the top. Within its frame hangs an opal globe that gives off a soft, diffused light. Partway down, a small round shelf sits inside the oval, just large enough for a glass, a candle or a few small objects.
Ellisse stands beside a sofa, in a bedroom corner or next to a reading chair, combining light and a side surface in one slim footprint. Its linear gold outline reads as a sculptural object even when the lamp is off.
